The Poor Plan

““’Now when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very corners of your field, nor shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest. 

“’Nor shall you glean your vineyard, nor shall you gather the fallen fruit of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the needy and for the stranger.  I am the Lord your God.”  Leviticus 19:19-20

God’s people should have precluded social services…but as in all things greed and ‘better management’ took over and today the poor are easily manipulated. 

God’s plan was for each of us to care for those in our families and for those around us.  If everyone did this, there would be no poverty.  Giving funds to faceless ‘organisations’ that you have no say in is not being good stewards of God’s provisions.
