Heavenly Meal

“’Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.’  It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

“Then he said to me, ‘Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’’  And he said to me, ‘These are true words of God.’”  Revelation 19:7-9

Human history will end.  God will judge the wicked.  Then there will be a great wedding feast of the Lord and His bride (the church -- all faithful believers from all time).  Because we are among those given to Christ, we are both the bride (Revelation 19:7-8) and the invited guests (Revelation 19:9) and eternally part of God’s Kingdom. 

Remember, no matter how confusing or gruesome the story of Revelation seems, the point of the book is Jesus and His sure salvation.  Keep your eyes firmly fixed on the knowledge that Jesus will have the ultimate victory.
