Coriander Again?!
“And the house of Israel named it manna, and it was like coriander seed, white, and its taste was like wafers with honey. Then Moses said, ‘This is what the Lord has commanded, ‘Let an omerful of it be kept throughout your generations, that they may see the bread that I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you out of the land of Egypt.’
“And Moses said to Aaron, ‘Take a jar and put an omerful of manna in it, and place it before the Lord, to be kept throughout your generations.’
“As the Lord commanded Moses, so Aaron placed it before the Testimony, to be kept. And the sons of Israel ate the manna forty years until they came to an inhabited land; they ate the manna until they came to the border of the land of Canaan.” Exodus 16:31-35
It may be that I’m the only one the Lord keeps repeating the same lessons for. Like the Israelites in the desert, I object to the same old lessons — as they did to the manna day after day. Sometimes, I even find myself repeating my disobedience even though I know the lesson will be repeated.
However, although there may be consequences for my sinful behaviours, God’s grace and love for me is purposefully patient. He may be hurt by my choices, even amused but in every situation, every difficulty, every blessing – God is working for my good and His glory.
“As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming.
“but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him, who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.” Ephesians 4:14-16
Take care with love, especially His, from Darlene, who still prays for you each day.
