Egg-splaining

“Then Job answered, ‘Oh that my vexation were actually weighed, and laid in the balances together with my iniquity!  For then it would be heavier than the sand of the seas, therefore my words have been rash.

“’For the arrows of the Almighty are within me; their poison my spirit drinks; the terrors of God are arrayed against me.

“’Does the wild donkey bray over his grass, or does the ox low over his fodder?  Can something tasteless be eaten without salt, or is there any taste in the white of an egg?  My soul refuses to touch them; they are like loathsome food to me.’” Job 6:1-7

None of us can doubt Job’s suffering.  His friends were no help because they did not understand God’s purpose or the way God works.

So they blamed Job’s misery and loss on his own choices.  In other words, that God punishes you when you sin and rewards you when you do good.

But that is not the truth.

God holds each of us tenderly and works His will in every moment of our lives to either bring us to His Son, Jesus Christ or to grow those who know Jesus more into His perfect image.

Take care with love, especially His, from Darlene, who still prays for you each day.
